It was back in May of 2008 that I started BikeRiot. Slowly but surely we're building this into the defacto site for bicycle and pedestrian-specific information in Northwest Michigan. It's been a slow process, at least until now. Last week's showing of the film Contested Streets ,and the discussion that followed, showed that even in the heart of a cold winter people could come together to talk about the safety of moving about their community.
